Global Forest Watch is proud to have been named one of the 2015 Nominet Trust 100 (NT100), a celebration of 100 people and organizations around the world using digital technology for social good. These projects tackle some of the world’s biggest social challenges in areas ranging from environment and agriculture to health. Global Forest Watch puts the best and timeliest data on the state of the world’s forests into the hands of decision makers, civil society groups, forest-dependent communities, journalists and other stakeholders to enable better management and conservation of this precious resource that not only helps mitigate climate change, but supports the livelihood of more than 1.6 billion people around the world. Watch the short film below to meet some of the other NT100 winners. We’re honored to be recognized among 540 nominees. The NT100 winners were selected by the world’s leading tech companies and charity organizations, including Big Lottery Fund, Comic Relief, Creative England, Facebook, Latimer, Nomiet, Oxfam, O2 Telefonica, Salesforce and Society Guardian.
